70'S TRIBUTE ROCK-N-ROLL

MORNINGSTAR'S DEBUT ALBUM GETS ITS FIRST REVIEW IN THIS UK MAGAZINE!

This Austin Texas band does have a 70's rock 'n' roll sound, but that's not all they have; they lay it on in a country way too, not the greasy noir that's so popular at the moment, but undiluted country rock. 'One of a Kind' leads us off with Tasmin Morningstar's bluesy croon and a lazy groove. 'Along for the Ride' fills your dance card and 'Right Place, Right Time smokes with desire to lead you to a dark, warm corner.  Tasmin clearly has an evocative voice and her Loretta Lynn style on 'Sorrow Comes Too Familiar' is a lovely interpretation. The burning guitars in 'The Hammer Falls' aren't bad either!
